These funds will be used to assist eligible <br /> Hawaii County households who can demonstrate a risk of experiencing homelessness or <br /> housing instability due to the coronavirus (COVID-19)pandemic. <br /> Enclosed is a resolution to enter into an agreement to accept these funds. Also enclosed <br /> is a bill for an ordinance amending the Operating Budget by appropriating an Emergency <br /> Rent Assistance Program COVID-19(ERA1 PT)program grant in the amount of$6,110,000. <br /> The OHCD respectfully requests that this resolution and bill be waived from the Finance <br /> Committee, to be placed on the October 20, 2021 Council agenda in order to expedite the <br /> receipt of these funds.
