OJ,'ZY Us/r,..' <br /> • �''''� ' ` STATE OF HAWAI I <br /> • <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII ����=����/�•� ` <br /> BILL NO. 241 <br /> ORDINANCE NO. <br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 15,ARTICLE 4, SECTION <br /> 15-39, OF THE HAWAII COUNTY CODE 1983 (2016 EDITION,AS AMENDED), <br /> RELATING TO CAMPING AND TRAILER AREAS. <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII: <br /> SECTION 1. Chapter 15, article 4, section 15-39 of the Hawai`i County Code 1983 <br /> (2016 Edition, as amended) is amended to read as follows: <br /> "Section 15-39. Camping and recreational vehicle or other camping units [trailer] <br /> areas. <br /> (a) Camping [and the use of trailers or other camper units arc] is only permitted as <br /> follows: <br /> (1) At Laupahoehoe Beach Park, Kolekole Beach Park, . . • - . - " - -- e : : ,] <br /> Isaac Kepo'okalani Hale Beach Park, Punalu`u Black Sand Beach Park, <br /> Whittington Beach Park, Miloli`i Beach Park, Ho`okena Beach Park, Mahukona <br /> Beach Park, Kapa'a Beach Park, and [Samuel Spencer Beach Park,] Spencer Park <br /> at `Ohai`ula Beach [the uce of trailers or other camper units arc permitted on any <br /> suitable place other than picnic or lawn areas]. The camper shall give due regard <br /> to the rights and convenience of other users of the park, shall not obstruct any <br /> roadway or pathway, and shall not monopolize any facility intended for the use of <br /> all users of the park. <br /> (2) At [Samuel Spencer Beach Park,] Spencer Park at `Ohai`ula Beach, camping is <br /> permitted in two camping areas known as areas "A" and"B." Area "A" is mauka of <br /> the large pavilion between the Hapuna boundary of the park and the outdoor <br /> courts. Area "B" is between the north side restroom and the central restroom. <br /> (b) Use of recreational vehicles or other camper units are only permitted at Whittington <br /> Beach Park and Spencer Park at `Ohai`ula Beach in stalls that have been approved by <br /> the director and clearly designated for such use." <br /> SECTION 2. Material to be repealed is bracketed and stricken. New material is <br /> underscored. In printing this ordinance,the brackets, bracketed and stricken material, and <br /> underscoring need not be included. <br /> SECTION 3. Severability. If any provision of this ordinance, or the application <br /> thereof to any person or circumstance, is held invalid, the invalidity does not affect other <br /> provisions or applications of the ordinance which can be given effect without the invalid <br /> provision or application, and to this end the provisions of this ordinance are severable. <br />
