These positions will allow the department to hire <br /> paramedics to directly fill vacancies. Additional funding is not required as salary and <br /> wages are appropriated to vacant permanent positions that recruits will eventually fill. <br /> The Fire Department requests that this resolution be waived from Committee and be <br /> placed on the December 21, 2022 Council agenda in order to expedite this process.
