REPORT OF THE <br /> COMMITTEE ON FINANCE <br /> DATE: January 24, 2023 Re: Comm.No. 56/Bill No. 13 <br /> PLACE: Council Chambers <br /> Kailua-Kona, Hawaii <br /> TIME: 10:30 a.m. <br /> Council Chair and Members <br /> Hawaii County Council <br /> Hilo, Hawaii 96720 <br /> Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 13, reports as follows: <br /> Bill 13, transmitted by Finance Director Deanna S. Sako, via Communication No. 56 dated <br /> January 5, 2023, amends Ordinance No. 22-63, as amended, the Operating Budget for the County <br /> of Hawaii for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2023. <br /> This bill increases revenues in the Fund Balance from Previous Year—account($300,500); and <br /> appropriates the same to the Geothermal Fire Equipment account. Funds would be used to purchase <br /> essential fire equipment to be utilized in Pahoa and other sectors within the lower Puna area. <br /> Committee Member Ashley L.
