V OI y <br />COUNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF HAWAII <br />RESOLUTION NO. 340 23 <br />RESOLUTION CREATING TWO (2) NEW INFORMATION <br />TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST IV POSITIONS, ONE (1) NEW <br />INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST V POSITION, ONE (1) <br />NEW INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST VI POSITION <br />AND ONE (1) NEW INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST VII <br />POSITION FOR THE DEPARTMENT OF INFORMATION <br />TECHNOLOGY <br />WHEREAS, the Department of Information Technology is in need of two (2) <br />Information Technology Specialist IV positions, one (1) Information Technology <br />Specialist V position, one (1) Information Technology Specialist VI position, and <br />one (1) Information Technology Specialist VII position to support the County of <br />Hawaii; and <br />WHEREAS, these positions are necessary for the County to maintain <br />operational standards, increase its vigilance in cybersecurity and focus on defense - <br />in -depth strategies to increase cyber maturity; and <br />WHEREAS, the positions indicated above are two (2) Information <br />Technology Specialist IV, SR -22, positions, one (1) Information Technology <br />Specialist V, SR -24, position, one (1) Information Technology Specialist VI, SR -26, <br />position, and one (1) Information Technology Specialist VII, SR -28, position; and <br />WHEREAS, Article V, Section 5-1.3(c) of the Hawai'i County Charter states <br />that the Mayor has the power to "Create positions... for which appropriations have <br />been made by the council..."; now, therefore, <br />
