Wilcox of Council District 9 to the South Kohala Community <br />Development Plan Action Committee <br />Aloha Council Chair Inaba and Council Members, <br />I am pleased to nominate Ms. Owana K. Wilcox of Council District 9 to the South Kohala <br />Community Development Plan Action Committee (SKCDPAC). Ms. Wilcox, born in Kealakekua <br />and raised in Waimea, is deeply connected to our island and its needs. <br />With a bachelor's degree in business administration from Southern New Hampshire University, <br />Ms. Wilcox currently serves as the General Manager with Castle Resorts Hawai'i. Her <br />professional experience, combined with her dedication to community service, exemplifies her <br />commitment to making a positive impact. She has volunteered her time with Waimea Middle <br />School, the Waimea Relay for Life, and Na Lima Hana, among others. <br />Ms. Wilcox is eager to serve on the SKCDPAC to provide strong representation and advocate <br />for local values that reflect the community that helped raise her. Her passion for a better Hawai'i <br />and her understanding of local issues will be invaluable assets to the SKCDPAC. <br />If confirmed, Ms. Wilcox's term will end on January 31, 2028.
