McBride to the Transportation Commission representing Council <br />District 2 <br />Aloha Council Chair Inaba and Council Members, <br />I am pleased to nominate Mr. John McBride of Ka`umana to the Transportation Commission <br />representing Council District 2. Mr. McBride is a lifelong resident of our island community and a <br />proud graduate of Hilo High School. <br />With a background as a Mechanical Welder, Mr. McBride has gained extensive work experience <br />through his roles at Mauna Kea Sugar, Hilo Coast Processing Company, Sonomura <br />Contracting, and at Hale Pohaku on Mauna Kea. Over the last two decades, he has transitioned <br />into entrepreneurship as a tour operator. <br />Mr. McBride's strong connection to our community, combined with his professional experience, <br />positions him well in contributing effectively to the Transportation Commission. He is dedicated <br />to enhancing our transportation infrastructure and ensuring it meets the needs of our residents. <br />If confirmed, Mr. McBride will serve a term to end on December 31, 2029.
