OWN <br />COUNTY OF HAWAI`I STATE OF HAWAPI <br />♦� Os <br />RESOLUTION NO. 3 i 1. 25 <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT OF FUNDS OF LATER FISCAL <br />YEARS TO ENTER INTO A LEASE AGREEMENT FOR ONE MULTIFUNCTION <br />COPY MACHINE TO BE USED BY THE MASS TRANSIT AGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, Section 10-11 of the Charter of the County of Hawaii (hereinafter "the <br />Charter") provides, in part, that "any contract, lease or other obligation requiring the payment of <br />funds from the appropriations of a later fiscal year or of more than one fiscal year shall be made <br />or approved by resolution"; and <br />WHEREAS, the Mass Transit Agency (hereinafter "MTA") wishes to enter into a five- <br />year lease agreement for one multifunction copy machine with printer, scanner, and fax <br />capabilities; and <br />WHEREAS, the lease for the existing copy machine currently utilized by MTA staff has <br />expired and the addition of this copy machine will allow staff to perform necessary job <br />functions; and <br />WHEREAS, MTA estimates the monthly cost of this agreement to be approximately <br />$183, based on an average monthly print volume of 5,800 pages, for a total of $10,980 across the <br />five-year term of the agreement; now, therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI`I that the <br />Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into a lease agreement for the purposes hereinabove <br />described. <br />
