The purpose of this ordinance is to prohibit parking along narrow shoulder <br /> segments of Ali`i Drive fronting Kahalu`u Beach Park to improve safety for pedestrians and <br /> motorists in the area. <br /> SECTION 2. Chapter 24, article 10, division 5, section 24-280, schedule 28, entitled <br /> "No parking at anytime," subsection(f), Kona, of the Hawaii County Code 1983 (2016 Edition, <br /> as amended), is amended by amending the following listings to read as follows: <br /> Ali`i Drive, [makai] west makai) side, [f f n dist nee of one hundfed feet o eithe, <br /> side of eae, driveway itAo Tr.,halt t„ Bea eh D.,r ] from a point five hundred thirty- <br /> five feet north of Makole`a Street and extending to a point one hundred forty-six feet <br /> south of Makole`a Street." <br /> "• Ali`i Drive, west (makai) side, from a point [nine hiipa..oa thift , six] one thousand <br /> one hundred six feet north of Makole`a Street and extending [*"ilr three feet in <br /> ne ier-ly] one hundred seventy-seven feet in a southerly direction." <br /> SECTION 3.
