REPORT OF THE <br />COMMITTEE ON FINANCE <br />DATE: February 17, 2026 <br />PLACE: Council Chambers <br />Kailua-Kona, Hawaii <br />TIME: 10:00 a.m. <br />Council Chair and Members <br />Hawaii County Council <br />Hilo, Hawaii 96720 <br />Re: Comm. No. 721/Res. No. 462-26 <br />Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 462-26, reports as follows: <br />Resolution No. 462-26, transmitted by Housing Administrator Kehaulani M. Costa via <br />Communication No. 721, dated January 29, 2026, authorizes and directs the Director of Finance to <br />negotiate the disposition of Real Property identified as Tax Map Key No. 7-4-010:044 by lease to <br />Hope Services Hawaii, Inc., for homeless assistance purposes. <br />This resolution authorizes the negotiation of a one-year lease with one one-year option to renew <br />with an approximate annual cost of $10.
