No. 788/Res. No. 496-26 <br />Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 496-26, reports as follows: <br />Resolution No. 496-26, transmitted by Assistant Corporation Counsel J S. Yoshimoto via <br />Communication No. 788, dated March 10, 2026, accepts a donation of grant funds and other in -kind <br />donations to the Department of Parks and Recreation for the Lincoln Park Tennis Courts and Edith <br />Kanaka`ole Multi -Purpose Stadium. <br />The donation from the United States Tennis Association has an estimated value of $160,000. <br />Corporation Counsel J S. Yoshimoto and Capital Improvement Projects Manager Laura Dierenfield <br />was present in Chambers. <br />Committee Member Jenn Kagiwada and James E. Hustace stated that they had questions for the <br />department but seeing no department representatives present, reserved them for the next Council <br />meeting. <br />Committee Member Dennis "Fresh" Onishi stated that he was involved in this project and had <br />spoken with the Tennis Association about it and stated that he wanted to ensure that these funds <br />would not lapse. <br />Mr. Hustace asked when the department applied for this grant. Mr. Yoshimoto said it was about a <br />year ago. Mr. Hustace asked why this project had been delayed.
