No. 41-01 <br /> PLACE: Councilroom <br /> T[ME: 2:55 p.m. <br /> Chair and Members <br /> [-Iawai`i County Council <br /> Hilo, Hawaii 96720 <br /> Your Committee on Planning, to which was referred Resolution No. 41-01, transmitted by Mayor <br /> Harry Kim per Communication No. 97, dated January 12, 2001, regarding the naming of street in <br /> <br /> the County of Hawaii, reports as follows: <br /> Resolution No. 41-01 authorizes the approval of the street names for the roadway within the <br /> Pa'auilo Homesteads, Hamakua, Hawaii. <br /> The Planning Commission at its December 15, 2000, meeting approved the name for the roadway <br /> in Exhibit "A" as follows: <br /> Antone De Luz Road - after Antone De Luz, one of the original settlers <br /> of this Homestead. The roadway has been <br /> historically referred to as <br /> Antone De Luz Road. <br /> Pursuant to Section 22-35, Article 2, Chapter 22 of the Hawaii County Code, the Council is <br /> authorized to adopt street names for Hawaii County's unnamed roadways. <br /> Committee Member Dominic Yagong mentioned that this road has always been known by this <br /> name.
