No. l 95 <br /> PLACE: Council Chambers <br /> TIME: 10:10 A.M. <br /> Council Chair and Members <br /> Hawaii County Council <br /> Hilo, Hawaii 96720 <br /> Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Communication No. 195, reports as follows: <br /> Communication No. 195, transmitted by Mayor Harry Kim, dated April 19, 2001, nominates <br /> Mr. David R. Powell to the Hawaii County Tax Board of Review. <br /> A resident of Hawaii for 43 years, Mr. David R. Powell has been retired since 1998. <br /> Professionally, he served as Chief Operating Officer of Case and Lynch, and as a partner of <br /> Deloitte and Touche. He is active with the Consuelo Zober Alger Foundation, the Catholic <br /> Charities Family Services, and the Alliance for Children and Families. Of no political party <br /> <br /> affiliation, he will serve a term to end December 31, 2005. <br /> Pursuant to Section 19-96, Hawaii County Code, there is created a board of review for the <br /> <br /> county which shall consist of five members...appointed by the mayor and confirmed by the <br /> <br /> council as provided by charter. <br /> <br /> For informational purposes, Mr. Tyler voted kanalua twice. <br /> Your Committee on Finance recommends confirmation of Mr. David R.
