NO. 235/BILL NO. 70 <br /> PLACE: Councilroom <br /> TIME: 9:10 a.m. <br /> Chair and Members <br /> Hawaii County Council <br /> Hilo, Hawaii 96720 <br /> Your Committee on Public Works and Intergovernmental Relations, to which was referred <br /> Communication No. 235 and attached Bill No.70, reports as follows: <br /> The purpose of Bill No. 70 is to amend Chapter 24 of the Hawaii County Code 1983 (1995 <br /> Edition), relating to Vehicles and Traffic by converting an existing bus stop located on Sarona <br /> Road in South Kona to afreight-loading zone. <br /> Communication No. 235 is from Deputy Director Galen Kuba, Department of Public Works, <br /> dated May 15, 2001, transmitting Bill No. 70 for the Council's review and consideration. In his <br /> letter, Mr. Kuba states that this bus stop area is now used for loading activities. According to <br /> Mr. Kuba, the request for the conversion was made by the Kona Traffic Committee.
