No. 272 <br /> PLACE: Council Chambers <br /> TIME: 3:05 P.M. <br /> Council Chair and Members <br /> Hawaii County Council <br /> Hilo, Hawaii 96720 <br /> Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Communication No. 272, reports as follows: <br /> Communication No. 272, transmitted by Mayor Harry Kim, dated July 18, 2001, nominates <br /> Mr. Yoshiichi "Joe" Tanaka of Council District 3 to serve on the Hawaii County Salary <br /> Commission. Mr. Tanaka would replace Mr. Barry Mizuno, whose term expired. <br /> <br /> A lifetime resident of Hawaii, Mr. Yoshiichi "Joe" Tanaka is retired from the State Department <br /> <br /> of Education but still performs contract work as a counselor. He is a past chair and board <br /> <br /> member of the Big Island Educational Federal Credit Union and current president of the Hawaii <br /> <br /> District, Hawaii State Teacher's Association (HSTA) Retirees, as well as a Retiree Director for <br /> <br /> the HSTA Member Benefit Corporation.
