Clarify that private street owners will be obligated to post and maintain traffic control <br /> devices on their private streets only upon passage of an appropriate ordinance (See sec. 3 <br /> of Bi1168, D2 -sec. 24-9(a)(2)); <br /> 2. Incorporate language from Act 173, passed by the Hawaii State Legislature in June 1995, <br /> which provides that the County's consent to placement of traffic control devices on <br /> private streets shall not be deemed to constitute control over these streets (See sec. 3 of <br /> Bi1168, D2 -sec. 24-9(c)); and <br /> 3. Clarify that the County's consent to placement of traffic control devices on private streets <br /> shall not be deemed to constitute an acceptance of maintenance responsibility or liability <br /> for these streets (See sec. 1 -sec. 24-2(c)). <br /> ~zexan. ha. <br /> '~e Rio.
