COUNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF HAWAII <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 2~~ 0~ <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A MONETARY <br /> DONATION OF TWO THOUSAND DOLLARS ($2,000) FROM THE DANIEL R. <br /> <br /> SAYRE MEMORIAL FOUNDATION TO THE HAWAII COUNTY FIRE <br /> DEPARTMENT <br /> WHEREAS, the Daniel R. Sayre Memorial Foundation was awarded a grant from the <br /> <br /> World Triathlon Corporation and Ironman Foundation, and in turn, has donated the funds to the <br /> Hawaii County Fire Department to be used for the purchase of a Fire C.A.T. Portable Command <br /> Post 2001-CP radio; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Hawaii County Fire Department recommends the acceptance of this <br /> <br /> donation; and <br /> WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12 of the Hawaii County Charter, provides that the <br /> Council, on behalf of the County, may accept gifts or donations of money, securities, or other <br /> personal property or real estate or any interest in real estate. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF <br /> HAWAII, in accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12 of the Hawaii County Charter, the <br /> County of Hawaii Fire Department is authorized to accept this donation of two thousand dollars <br /> ($2,000) from the Daniel R. Sayre Memorial Foundation. <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a letter of appreciation and a copy of this resolution <br /> be sent to the Daniel R. Sayre Memorial Fund, c/o Hawaii Community Foundation, 65-1279 <br /> Kawaihae Road, Parker Square, Room 203, Kamuela, Hawaii 96743 and to the World Triathlon <br /> Corporation, 75-5722 Kuakini Highway, Kuakini Tower#101, Kailua-Kona, Hawaii 96740-2119 <br /> acknowledging this generous donation. <br /> <br />
