Funds are available <br /> in the Recycling Program's miscellaneous contract services account number <br /> 085.601.5610.02.115. Line item 10, Glass Diversion Subsidy, is no longer needed due to <br /> sufficient grant funding through the Beverage Container Deposit Program and the Glass <br /> Advanced Disposal Fees Program. The Recycling Specialist [position would provide necessary <br /> support for the County's recycling program to adequately monitor County waste diversion efforts <br /> and respond to public information requests regarding the availability of recycling, re-use, and <br /> source reduction opportunities throughout the Big Island. <br /> I ask for your consideration of this request.
