.r?'~ <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF HAWAII <br /> •••T~'Y~•NI~+ <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 4~~ 13~ <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT OF FUNDS OF A LATER FISCAL <br /> YEAR AND MORE THAN ONE FISCAL YEAR FOR AMULTI-YEAR LEASE OF <br /> REAL PROPERTY FOR THE OFFICE OF THE COUNTY CLERK-ELECTIONS <br /> DIVISION. <br /> WHEREAS, Section 10-11 of the County Charter requires that any contract, lease, or <br /> <br /> other obligation requiring payment of funds from the appropriations of a later fiscal year and <br /> <br /> more than one fiscal year be approved by resolution; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Hawaii County Council finds that uncertainty of the construction <br /> <br /> period, and the unknown schedule for phasing each of the eight wings during the capital project <br /> coupled with the perceived risk of asbestos removal warrant a planned move of its employees to <br /> a publicly convenient, environmentally safe and comfortable work place; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Office of the County Clerk-Election Division finds that move to the <br /> Prince Kuhio Plaza has been beneficial to both the public and the division; and <br /> WHEREAS, there are sufficient funds budgeted in the current fiscal year to cover the <br /> anticipated obligations of the County under the lease (license) agreement; and <br /> WHEREAS, HO Retail Properties I, L.P. has agreed not to increase the Lease (License) <br /> <br /> rent for another yeaz; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Hawaii County Council wishes to enter into a one (1) year lease <br /> (license) with HO Retail Properties I, L.P. for the 5,000 square feet of office space located at the <br /> 111 East Puainako Street, Hilo, Hawaii, 96720, at an approximate cost of $8,594.00 per month, <br /> <br /> including General Excise Tax. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY <br /> <br /> OF HAWAII: <br /> 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into amulti-yeaz lease (license) <br /> agreement for office space for the Hawaii County Council. <br /> 2. That sufficient funds be budgeted in future fiscal years to cover the anticipated <br /> obligations of the County under the lease agreement. <br /> <br />
