I am dedicating my <br /> race to the Junior Lifeguard program and with the help of the Janus Corporation, <br /> januscharitychallenge.com, will be raising money for the program. <br /> <br /> The Junior Lifeguard program helps teach kids 12-17 about ocean safety and what it is <br /> like to be a professional lifeguard. They compete in the Big Island Championship to <br /> qualify for the State Championship on Oahu. <br /> My goal is to raise $2000. I would like to raise enough money to help kids attend the <br /> Junior Lifeguard National Championship held every year in the mainland. <br /> <br /> As you know, l love competing, and due to the mistakes I made as a teenager I never <br /> reached my potential as an athlete.
