Step two, a second bill which
addresses the policy issues, which the Council wants. The advantages of these two steps
are that we can simplify by codifying the items we agree on, and quickly come into
compliance with the National Flood Insurance Program, thereby being eligible to participate in
the Community Rating System, and allows fuller discussion and exploration of any
unanticipated consequences of proposed policy items.
To this end, attached is a revised administration draft of Bill 51. The revisions are the
correction of one typo, the deletion of two items that were adopted in Bill 52 and the inclusion
of elevating a ground floor one foot above existing ground for "Zone X (shaded)".
Please place this bill on the Public Works agenda for May 1, 2007.
j-k----- c. ~
BRUCE C.
