Should instaAation of the North Kona Sewer infrastructure (from Honokahau <br /> Harbor to Hina Lani Street) occur after completion of the State DOT highway widening project, <br /> there will likely be significantly higher costs and tremendous negative impact to traffic flow. <br /> Due to anticipated increased project costs by approximately 55% and the State DOT's requirement <br /> of additional funds to cover contingency, construction engineering and administration costs, we are <br /> increasing the FY2007-08 appropriation request by $3,460,000, bringing the total requested <br /> appropriation to $3,960,000. The funding source is expected to be entirely County G.O.
