The use of the word "rename" <br /> was in question. <br /> Attached is a copy of Bill No. 201, Draft 2, with the following changes to promote <br /> clarity: <br /> (a) the word rename has been changed to name <br /> (b) "West Hawaii Veteran's Cemetery, "to" "Pu'u O Na Po'e Koa O <br /> Hawaii Komohana", the word "to"has been replaced by a hyphen <br /> (c) the comma in Veteran's has been deleted <br /> (d) the last sentence in Section 1, the word West was added to read West <br /> Hawai' i <br /> Favorable responses were received from the Kona Post of the American Legion and the <br /> Disabled American Veterans Charter 7. The Veterans Advisory Committee met on <br /> May 21, 1998 at which time they expressed concerns regarding protocol. The committee <br /> believed that the initial request should have been sent to them directly before council <br /> consideration. However, the Advisory Committee recommended that the primary name <br /> be "West Hawaii Veterans Cemetery" and the secondary name be the Hawaiian <br /> translation.
