No. 295-07 <br /> PLACE: Council Chambers, Ben Franklin Bldg. <br /> TIME: 3:08 p.m. <br /> Council Chair and Members <br /> Hawaii County Council <br /> Hilo, Hawaii 96720 <br /> Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 295-07, reports as follows: <br /> Resolution No. 295-07, transmitted by Council Chair Pete Hoffmann, via Communication <br /> <br /> No. 589, dated July 31, 2007, authorizing the Council Chair and the County Clerk to enter into a <br /> contract for a Legislative Liaison for the upcoming State of Hawaii Legislative Session for a <br /> <br /> period not to exceed 180 days and not to exceed $50,000. Funding for the contract is available in <br /> <br /> the Clerk-Council Services-Salary & Wage account. <br /> The Hawaii County Council desires to be more responsive to matters before the Hawaii State <br /> Legislature during the regulaz legislative session. The timely communications between the <br /> Council and the Legislative Liaison will keep the Council informed of legislation affecting the <br /> County of Hawaii.
