No. 583-06 <br /> PLACE: Council Chambers <br /> TIME: 9:00 a.m. <br /> <br /> Council Chair and Members <br /> Hawaii County Council <br /> Hilo, Hawaii 96720 <br /> <br /> Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 583-08, reports as follows: <br /> <br /> Resolution No. 583-08, transmitted by Director of Finance William Takaba, via Communication No. <br /> 1120, dated March 25, 2008, authorizes the Director of Finance to negotiate a new three year lease with <br /> Hawaii Island Adult Care, Inc., (formerly known as Hilo Adult Day Care, Inc.) for a portion of the <br /> premises located at 34 Rainbow Drive, Hilo, Hawaii, known as the "Old Hilo Hospital Complex" <br /> located on property identified as Tax Map Key: (3) 2-3-026:008. <br /> <br /> The County of Hawaii currently has jurisdiction over the property and building located at 34 Rainbow <br /> Drive from the State of Hawaii through Governor's Executive Order No. 3773. Hawaii Island Adult <br /> Care, Inc., has occupied the subject portion of the building since at least 1982. The prior lease and <br /> various renewals between the County of Hawaii and Hawaii Island Adult Care, Inc. have expired and <br /> necessitates the negotiation of a new lease.
