NO. 321 <br /> PLACE: Councilroom <br /> TIME: 9:05 a.m. <br /> Chairperson and Members <br /> Hawaii County Council <br /> Hilo, Hawaii 96720 <br /> Your Committee on Public Works and Parks, to which was referred Communication No. 321 <br /> and attached Bil] No. 90, reports as follows: <br /> The purpose of Bill No. 90 is to establish speed limits of 35 miles per hour along <br /> South Glenwood Road. <br /> Bill No. 90 would amend chapter 24, article 10, division 1, section 24-257, schedule 5 <br /> (35 mile per hour limit), subsection (g) Puna, by adding the following item to be appropriately <br /> numbered: <br /> South Glenwood Road. from Route 1 I. to a point 0.86 mile in the southeasterly <br /> direction." <br /> Communication No. 321 is a letter from Chief Engineer Donna Fay K. Kiyosaki, dated <br /> May 19, 1997, which transmits Bill No. 90 to the Council for its consideration. The <br /> Communication notes that the Department of Public Works received a request from the Fern <br /> Forest Community Association to establish speed limits along the county portion of South <br /> Glenwood Road.
