At its meeting of August 12, 2008, the Planning Committee voted to send a favorable recommendation of the Kona CDP, in its entirety, to the County Council. The Planning Department is recommending no substantive amendments to the Kona CDP. The Department is recommending the following three non-substantive amendments. The first two non-substantive amendments are contained in section 4.1 TRANSPORTATION. Amendment #1 includes the addition of Action TRAN-1.lb, serving to clarify conditions for updating the Official Transportation Network Map. As can be seen on Figure 4-3, a number of the corridors are currently in the preliminary or conceptual design phase. Amendment #2 clarifies Policy TRAN-6.1, regarding Concurrency requirements for approval associated with projects served by the widening of Queen Ka`ahumanu Highway. ' 2 4 ,1 Comm. No. Ref.
