COUNTY OF HAWAII <br />STATE OF HAWAII <br />RESOLUTION NO. '762 08 <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A MONETARY DONATION OF $1,000 TO THE <br />HAWAII COUNTY POLICE DEPARTMENT <br />WHEREAS, the Hawaii Police Athletic Federation has donated $1,000 to the Hawaii County Police <br />Department; and <br />WHEREAS, these funds will be used for the Department's Hawaii Island Police Activities League (HI- <br />PAL) program; and <br />WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter provides that the Council, on <br />behalf of the County, may accept gifts or donations of personal property; and <br />WHEREAS, the Hawaii County Police Department recommends the acceptance of this donation. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that in <br />accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter, the Council of the County of Hawaii <br />accepts the $1,000. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a letter of appreciation be sent to the Hawaii Police Athletic <br />Federation, P.O.
