No. 59-09 <br /> PLACE: Council Chambers <br /> TIME: 10:09a.m. <br /> <br /> Council Chair and Members <br /> Hawaii County Council <br /> Hilo, Hawaii 96720 <br /> <br /> Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 59-09, reports as follows: <br /> <br /> Resolution No. 59-09, transmitted by Finance Director Nancy Crawford, via Communication No. 160, <br /> dated February 19, 2009, authorizing the Office of the Mayor to enter into an agreement with the State of <br /> Hawaii Department of Health, pursuant to HRS 46-7, for the Mental Health Transformation State <br /> Incentive Grant. <br /> <br /> The Hawaii Office of the Prosecuting Attorney is an active participant of the 704 Handbook Committee <br /> of the Big Island Task Force on Criminal Justice (BITFCJ). Representatives of the Courts, Probation, <br /> Police, Correctional Facility, Public Defender, Parole also participate on the BITFCJ. The group has <br /> identified the need for multi-disciplinary training to transform and elevate the awareness, ability and <br /> response of the people who interact professionally with Severely Persistent Mentally Ill (SPMI) <br /> consumers.
