NRCS proposed to provide $191,000 for the estimated cost of engineering <br /> surveys and design services for the Kaumana Drive Flood Protection Phase of the <br /> Wailuku-Alenaio Watershed. This project includes the preparation of construction plans <br /> and specifications to provide flood protection to homes along Kaumana Drive between <br /> Chong Street and one-half mile above Wilder Road. Resolution 235-09, adopted on <br /> September 16, 2009, authorized the County to receive the federal assistance. <br /> Enclosed is a bill for an ordinance adding the Kaumana Drive Flood Protection Project for <br /> $191,000 to this fiscal year's Capital Budget. <br /> If there are any questions, please do not hesitate to call the Department of Public Works. <br /> <br /> <br /> Nancy.
