COUNTY OF HAWAII <br />STATE OF HAWAII <br />BILL NO. 146 <br />ORDINANCE NO. ~~ ~~~ <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 24 OF THE HAWAII COUNTY CODE 1983 <br />(2005 EDITION, AS AMENDED), RELATING TO VEHICLES AND TRAFFIC. <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII: <br />SECTION 1. Purpose. To promote public safety and reduce the risk of traffic accidents <br />on this narrow, winding road. <br />SECTION 2. Chapter 24, article 10, division 5, section 24-280, schedule 28 (No parking <br />at any time), paragraph (c), South Hilo, of the Hawaii County Code 1983 (2005 Edition, as <br />amended), is amended by adding the following, to be appropriately numbered and to read as <br />follows: <br />"( ) Pi`ihonua Road, both sides, beginning from the northern terminus <br />of Bride 25-1, extending .5 mile in the northwesterly direction." <br />SECTION 3. New material is underscored. In printing this ordinance, the underscoring <br />need not be included. <br />SECTION 4. If any provision of this ordinance, or the application thereof to any person <br />or circumstance, is held invalid, such invalidity shall not affect other provisions or applications <br />of the ordinance which can be given effect without the invalid provision or application, and to <br />this end, the provisions of this ordinance are declared to be severable. <br />SECTION 5.
