�J OS .... <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII - +_� "y=am'/ STATE OF HAWAII <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 394 10 <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT OF FUNDS OF A LATER <br /> FISCAL YEAR AND OF MORE THAN ONE FISCAL YEAR FOR A <br /> MULTI -YEAR LEASE FOR TWENTY (20) LAPTOP COMPUTERS FOR <br /> THE HAWAII FIRE DEPARTMENT <br /> WHEREAS, Section 10 -11 of the County Charter requires that any contract, lease <br /> or other obligation requiring payment of funds from the appropriations of a later fiscal <br /> year or of more than one fiscal year be approved by resolution; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Hawaii Fire Department would like to obtain a three (3) year lease <br /> agreement for twenty (20) laptop computers for its Emergency Medical Services (EMS) <br /> personnel; and <br /> WHEREAS, the laptop computers will be used to provide the ability to document <br /> patient care, send critical information to hospitals, and for collecting billing information <br /> from the incident site or other locations as needed; and <br /> WHEREAS, the cost of the laptop computers' lease is reimbursable by the State of <br /> Hawai`i as part of the EMS contract. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY <br /> OF HAWAII: <br /> 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into a three (3) year lease <br /> agreement for twenty (20) laptop computers for the Hawaii Fire Department. <br /> 2. That sufficient funds be budgeted in future fiscal years to cover the <br /> anticipated obligations of the County under the terms of the agreement. <br />
