This project will allow for the County to foster a <br /> collaborative effort with residents of the Kikala- Keokea subdivision to develop a new public <br /> park in the Kalapana area. The nearest County parks to this area are Isaac K. Hale Beach <br /> Park and 'Ahalanui Beach Park, though both sites are primarily beach parks and lack the <br /> infrastructure and amenities commonly associated with neighborhood parks, which is what <br /> is envisioned at Kikala- Keokea. <br /> The project initially proposes to establish water service to the site via the County's water <br /> system, develop basic infrastructure (driveway, parking area, etc.), provide basic park <br /> landscaping materials (fill, soil, plants, etc.) and basic park amenities to support <br /> community use. <br /> If there are any questions, please do not hesitate to call the Department of Parks and <br /> Recreation. <br /> )11/IA- C14/61 <br /> Nancy E.
