COUNTY OF HAWAII <br />RESOLUTION NO. Is 11 <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A MONETARY DONATION OF $1,000 <br />TO THE HAWAII COUNTY FIRE DEPARTMENT <br />WHEREAS, Hilo Wal-Mart, has donated monies totaling $1,000 to the Hawaii County <br />Fire Department's Fire Prevention Division; and <br />WHEREAS, this donation of $1,000 will be used for the purchase of materials and <br />supplies used for Fire Prevention Week: and <br />WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter provides that the <br />Council, on behalf of the County, may accept gifts of donations of money, securities, or other <br />personal property or of real estate or any interest in real estate and <br />WHEREAS, the Hawaii County Fire Department recommends the acceptance of this <br />donation. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF <br />HAWAII that in accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawai'i County Charter, the <br />Council of the County of Hawaii accepts the $1,000. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a letter of appreciation be sent to Ms. Jessica Borges <br />and Mr. Torrance Crowley, Hilo Wal-Mart Store #2473, 325 E.
