Ford, Council Member <br />SUBJECT: Proposed Amendments to Resolution 17 -11; To Authorize the Mayor to Enter <br />into an Agreement with the State of Hawaii Department of Transportation, <br />Pursuant to HRS 46 -7, for the Department of Public Works GPS Units Grant <br />For your consideration, please find attached proposed amendments to Resolution 17 -11. <br />The proposed amendments, illustrated via Ramseyer format with respect to the contents of <br />Resolution No. 17 -11, read as follows: <br />The third WHEREAS clause is amended to read: <br />"WHEREAS, the grant, derived from Federal funds, will be used by the Department of <br />Public Works to purchase one hundred (100) GPS units for the Hawaii County Police <br />Department to obtain crash data; and" <br />2. The fourth WHEREAS clause is amended to read: <br />"WHEREAS, the crash data will be processed by the Department of Public Works <br />Traffic Division with their RoadSoft GIS software to generate crash trend reports for <br />project planning[:] now, therefore, <br />The enacting clause is amended to read: <br />"[ ,] BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE <br />COUNTY OF HAWAII, in accordance with section 46 -7, Hawaii Revised Statutes, <br />that the Mayor of the County of Hawaii is authorized to execute, on behalf of the <br />Comm.
