COUNTY OF HAWAII -•1 " /1•- STATE OF HAWAII <br /> • ire.; �:'� <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 231 12 <br /> A RESOLUTION APPOINTING THE HAWAII COUNTY COUNCIL <br /> REPRESENTATIVE AND ALTERNATE REPRESENTATIVE TO SERVE ON THE <br /> HAWAII STATE ASSOCIATION OF COUNTIES EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE AND <br /> NOMINATING A REPRESENTATIVE TO SERVE AS A DIRECTOR ON THE <br /> WESTERN INTERSTATE REGION BOARD OF DIRECTORS. <br /> WHEREAS, the Hawai`i State Association of Counties (HSAC) is a nonprofit <br /> corporation comprised of members of the four county councils of the State of Hawai`i; and <br /> WHEREAS, each county council represented on HSAC is a member of the National <br /> Association of Counties (NACo) and the Western Interstate Region (WIR), an organization <br /> comprised of western counties that is affiliated with NACo; and <br /> WHEREAS, HSAC is headed by an Executive Committee of four officers, one from <br /> each county council; and <br /> WHEREAS, HSAC bylaws require that prior to April 15 of each year, each county <br /> appoint one of its members to serve as an officer on the HSAC Executive Committee and <br /> designate an alternate representative; and <br /> WHEREAS, HSAC bylaws further allow the nomination of a Director to serve on the <br /> WIR Board of Directors; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that <br /> Council Member K. Angel Pilago be, and is hereby appointed as, its representative to the <br /> Executive Committee of the Hawai`i State Association of Counties. <br />
