Kawauchi, County Clerk 13(,L <br />Re: A RESOLUTION URGING THE STATE LEGISLATURE TO <br />APPROPRIATE FUNDING AND DIRECT THE STATE OF HAWAII <br />DEPARTMENT OF HUMAN SERVICES TO CREATE CENTERS FOR <br />AT -RISK YOUTH STATEWIDE; AND TO DIRECT THE MAYOR, THE <br />DIRECTOR OF THE DEPARTMENT OF FINANCE AND THE <br />DIRECTOR OF THE DEPARTMENT OF PARKS AND RECREATION <br />OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII TO APPROPRIATE FUNDING AND <br />IMPLEMENT PROGRAMS FOR TEENS IN COUNTY PARK <br />FACILITIES THROUGHOUT THE ISLAND <br />Please find attached a resolution urging the Hawai`i State Legislature, the Mayor of the <br />County of Hawai`i, and the Directors of the Departments of Finance and Parks and <br />Recreation to take necessary actions to create at -risk youth centers and implement <br />programs for teens at County parks and facilities around the Island of Hawai`i. <br />C) <br />• <br />W <br />A resolution of the same content was approved on May 10, 2012, by the 2012 Hawai`i <br />High School County Council to be forwarded to the Hawai`i County Council for its <br />consideration.
