Permits; issuance; procedure <br /> The requirements to apply for a road closure permit no later than thirty <br /> (30) days preceding the date of the proposed event or activity is not <br /> reasonable for construction projects. <br /> We met with a representative of the Police Department and decided that <br /> the submittal date should be shortened to fourteen (14) days for <br /> construction activities within the road right-of-way. <br /> We request that the Hawaii County Code, Chapter 24, Article 7, <br /> Section 24-153.4.
