"7.7!;y.;. <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII •• e'- STATE OF HAWAII <br /> . �r�cs•M►+► . <br /> BILL NO. 139 <br /> ORDINANCE NO. <br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 24, ARTICLE 10, DIVISION 2 OF THE HAWAII <br /> COUNTY CODE 1983 (2005 EDITION, AS AMENDED), RELATING TO MOVING <br /> VEHICLES. <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII: <br /> SECTION 1. The purpose of this measure is to restrict left turns at the subject <br /> intersection in order to preserve and maximize on-street parking along Kilauea Avenue southeast <br /> of Barenaba Lane. With left turns allowed, intersection sight distance requirements for a 30 mph <br /> speed limit would result in the removal of four parking stalls and one freight loading zone along <br /> Kilauea Avenue southeast of Barenaba Lane. <br /> SECTION 2. Chapter 24, Article 10, Division 2, Section 24-271, Schedule 19. Prohibited <br /> left turn areas, subsection (c), South Hilo, Hawai'i County Code 1983 (2005 edition, as amended), is <br /> amended by adding new item and renumbering as required: <br /> ( ) Barenaba Lane at Kilauea Avenue. <br /> SECTION 3. Material to be repealed is bracketed and stricken. New material is <br /> underscored. In printing this ordinance, the brackets, bracketed and stricken material and <br /> underscoring need not be included. <br /> SECTION 4. Severability. If any provision of this ordinance, or the application thereof <br /> to any person or circumstance, is held invalid, such invalidity shall not affect other provisions or <br /> applications of the ordinance which can be given effect without the invalid provision or application, <br /> and to this end, the provisions of this ordinance are declared to be severable. <br />
