Mr. Uyeda is 42-year resident of Hawaii. He presently is the Director of <br /> Development at the Hualalai Resort. <br /> Mr. Uyeda is a member of the Hawai'i Planning Conference and the Hawai'i Society of <br /> Professional Engineers. He states that he is a Democrat. Mr. Uyeda was confirmed in <br /> 2011 to serve the remainder of a term that ended on December 31. 2011. Hawaii <br /> County Charter Section 13-4(c), states that "members of any board or commission <br /> appointed for a term of two years or less shall be eligible to succeed themselves for an <br /> additional full term."
