COUNTY OF HAWAII : '''_� '�"'���: STATE OF HAWAII <br /> BILL NO. 226 <br /> ORDINANCE NO. <br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 24,ARTICLE 11, DIVISION 1, SECTION 24- <br /> 298 AND SECTION 24-300 OF THE HAWAII COUNTY CODE 1983 (2005 EDITION, <br /> AS AMENDED), RELATING TO SPEED LIMITS ON PRIVATE STREETS. <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII: <br /> SECTION 1. The purpose of this ordinance is to establish speed limits for the <br /> Orchidland Estates Subdivision so that speed limits can be properly enforced by the police. <br /> Pursuant to Section 24-2 of the Hawai`i County Code, the County shall not be responsible for the <br /> maintenance and repair of any private street, highway, or thoroughfare when it imposes or <br /> enforces traffic regulations and highway safety laws on that private street, highway, or <br /> thoroughfare. <br /> SECTION 2. Chapter 24, article 11, division 1, section 24-298, schedule 2. 15 mile per <br /> hour limit, subsection (g) of the Hawai`i County Code 1983 (2005 Edition, as amended), is <br /> amended to read as follows: <br /> "(g) Puna <br /> (1) Ainaloa Subdivision <br /> 1. All streets, unless otherwise indicated. <br /> (2) Nanawale Estates Subdivision. <br /> 1. All streets, unless otherwise indicated. <br /> (3) Hawaiian Paradise Park Subdivision, all unpaved roads. <br /> (4) Orchidland Estates Subdivision, all unpaved roads and unpaved <br /> sections of roads." <br /> SECTION 3. Chapter 24, article 11, division 1, section 24-300, schedule 4. 25 mile per <br /> hour limit, subsection (g) of the Hawai`i County Code 1983 (2005 Edition, as amended), is <br /> amended to read as follows: <br /> "(g) Puna <br /> (1) Ainaloa Subdivision. <br /> 1. Ainaloa Drive, from Ainaloa Way to Stardust Drive. <br />
