The District 1 account has an appropriation of$40,000 in the current fiscal year's Capital Budget (Ordinance 13-66), while the District 5 account has an appropriation of$71,000. These appropriations are for discretionary projects to be funded by Council's contingency relief monies for Council Districts 1 and 5 respectively. Enclosed is a bill for an ordinance to add the projects titled "Discretionary Projects—Council District 1" and"Discretionary Projects—Council District 5", and to appropriate additional funds in order to bring the total appropriation of each account specified, to $100,000 in the Capital Budget. Please waive this bill from review by the Finance Committee and place it on the May 2, 2014 Council Agenda in order to expedite the appropriation increases of these accounts.
