COUNTY OF HAWAII ••:rte;,: STATE OF HAWAII <br /> BILL NO. 249 <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 4 94 <br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 24, ARTICLE 10, DIVISION 1, SECTION 24-256 <br /> OF THE HAWAII COUNTY CODE 1983 (2005 EDITION, AS AMENDED), RELATING TO <br /> SPEED LIMITS. <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII: <br /> SECTION 1. These amendments are being proposed in an effort to lower the speed limit <br /> to 30 mph and increase safety through a portion of Kealakekua. <br /> SECTION 2. Chapter 24,Article 10, Division 1, Section 24-256, Schedule 4. 30 mile <br /> per hour limit, subsection(f), Kona, of the Hawai`i County Code 1983 (2005 Edition, as amended), <br /> be amended by revising existing item: <br /> (8) [Mamalahoa Highway] HAWAII BELT ROAD (HIGHWAY 11), from a point five <br /> thousand one hundred feet SOUTH OF in the southerly direction from the terminus of <br /> the State Highway in Honalo to A POINT TWO HUNDRED THIRTY-FIVE FEET <br /> NORTH OF HAUKAPILA STREET the beginning of the State Highway in Captain <br /> C-eek. <br /> SECTION 3. Chapter 24, Article 10, Division 1, Section 24-256, Schedule 4. 30 mile per hour <br /> limit, subsection (f), Kona, of the Hawai`i County Code 1983 (2005 Edition, as amended), be amended by <br /> adding new item and renumbering as required: <br /> ( ) HAWAI`I BELT ROAD (HIGHWAY 11), FROM A POINT ONE THOUSAND <br /> FEET SOUTH OF HALE KEEKEE PLACE TO THE BEGINNING OF THE <br /> STATE HIGHWAY IN CAPTAIN COOK. <br /> SECTION 4. Material to be repealed is bracketed and stricken. New material is underscored. <br /> In printing this ordinance, the brackets, bracketed and stricken material and underscoring need not be <br /> included. <br />
