COUNTY OF HAWAII ORDINANCE NO. STATE OF HAWAII BILL NO. 324 S5 14 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 24, ARTICLE 10, DIVISION 5, SECTION 24-280, SCHEDULE 28 OF THE HAWAII COUNTY CODE 1983 (2005 EDITION, AS AMENDED), RELATING TO NO PARKING AT ANYTIME. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII: SECTION 1. This amendment is being proposed based on a request to remove the on - street parking in the subject area in an effort to increase pedestrian and traffic safety. In order to make up for the loss of parking, the university is designating the upper Lanikaula Street parking lot as free parking for students. SECTION 2. Chapter 24, Article 10, Division 5, Section 24-280, Schedule 28. No parking at anytime, paragraph (c) South Hilo is amended by revising item 105: (105) Lanikaula Street, southwest tPuna) [beginning a4 Kapielani Stfeet and tending one t,und-ed s ] from its northwestern terminus at the southeast end of bridge 24-1 and extending three hundred sixteen feet northeast of Kapiolani Street_ SECTION 3. Chapter 24, Article 10, Division 5, Section 24-280, Schedule 28. No parking at anytime, paragraph (c) South Hilo is amended by adding new item and renumbering as required: �) Kumukoa Street southwest (Puna) side from a point one hundred thirty feet northwest of the northwest end of bridge 24-1 to its southeastern terminus. SECTION 4. Material to be repealed is bracketed and stricken. New material is underscored. In printing this ordinance, the brackets, bracketed and stricken material and underscoring need not be included.
