COUNTY OF HAWAII <br />STATE OF HAWAII <br />RESOLUTION NO. 127 15 <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT OF FUNDS OF A LATER FISCAL <br />YEAR AND OF MORE THAN ONE FISCAL YEAR FOR A MULTI-YEAR LEASE OF <br />OFFICE SPACE FOR THE OFFICE OF THE PROSECUTING ATTORNEY IN <br />WAIMEA <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII. <br />WHEREAS, Section 10-11 of the County Charter requires that any contract, lease or <br />other obligation requiring payment of funds from the appropriations of a later fiscal year or of <br />more than one fiscal year be approved by resolution; and <br />WHEREAS, the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney, herein after "Prosecutors", currently <br />occupies 600 square feet of office space at TMK (3) 6-4-006-004 (por.) through a lease that ends <br />on June 30, 2018 seek an additional 600 square feet of office space by leasing the adjoining unit; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney currently stations three full time <br />staff at the Waimea office, as well as a victim assistance counselor, an investigator and one <br />volunteer who utilize the office as needed; and <br />WHEREAS, the County wishes to enter into a multi-year lease with Starr Equities, Inc., <br />a Domestic Profit Corporation, which commences on May 5, 2015 and ends with the current <br />lease on June 30, 2018; and <br />WHEREAS, a copy of the proposed Lease is attached as Exhibit "A" hereto; now, <br />therefore, <br />
