Miura <br />Deputy Director <br />G <br />-ti <br />C") <br />�rn <br />u+ <br />The State of Hawaii Department of Transportation is providing $48,000 to the County of Hawaii <br />to support its Safe Routes to School (SRTS) program. The SRTS program's goal is to improve the <br />ability of children to walk or bicycle safely to school. <br />Enclosed is a resolution authorizing the Mayor to enter into an agreement with the State of Hawaii <br />Department Transportation for this grant. Also enclosed is a bill for an ordinance amending the <br />Operating Budget by appropriating this $48,000 grant to the Safe Routes to School program <br />account. <br />Please waive this resolution and bill from the Finance Committee and place them on the April 15, <br />2015 Council Agenda in order to expedite the receipt of these funds.
