These vehicles will replace pump trucks which have <br /> excessive mileage and are reaching the end of their useful lives and will transport <br /> workers from the baseyards to island-wide transfer stations and other solid waste <br /> facilities. The Department will be utilizing stationary pumps rather than mobile units at <br /> transfer stations. <br /> The anticipated lease cost is approximately $600 per month per vehicle.
