The Hamakua County Farm Bureau(HCFB), a nonprofit subordinate <br /> organization of Hawai`i Farm Bureau Federation, plans to develop a grazing entity whose <br /> ranching members will jointly provide cattle to graze pastures developed at Kapulena <br /> Agriculture Park on parcels (3) 4-7-006:001 and (3) 4-7-006:018 which consists of <br /> approximately 441 acres. They plan to demonstrate a joint ownership grazing strategy <br /> that can benefit multiple cattle producers, transform former sugar cane agricultural land <br /> into improved pastures, and increase the production of locally raised grass-finished beef <br /> Enclosed is a resolution authorizing the Director of Finance to negotiate a 10-year lease <br /> of the real property described above (with a renewal option for an additional 10-year <br /> term) with the Hamakua County Farm Bureau. <br /> If there are any questions, please do not hesitate to call Hamana Ventura from the <br /> Finance Department's Property Management Division at 323-4321. <br /> Deanna S.
