Mr. Kamohoali'i is the lead archaeologist and <br /> researcher for Kihikihinuiakea &Associates, an archaeological consulting firm in <br /> Waimea. He also serves as Kumu Hula and Executive Director for Halau Na <br /> Kipu'upu'u. <br /> Mr. Kamohoali'i holds a BA degree in Hawaiian Studies and Language and a BA in <br /> Performing Arts from UH Hilo. He also has a MA degree in Cultural Heritage <br /> Management and Archaeology from UH Hilo and Arizona State University.. <br /> As a native Hawaiian, Mr. Kamohoali'i believes it is his responsibility to preserve and <br /> perpetuate his Hawaiian heritage and culture. His past employments and community <br /> activities related to this subject include being a cultural teacher and specialist at the <br /> Keauhou Beach Resort and UH Hilo, a Hawaiian Studies teacher at Hilo High, a cultural <br /> advisor for the Waimea Hawaiian Homestead Association, and a Hawaiian culture <br /> practice and protocol instructor. <br /> Mr. Kamohoali'i states that he is not affiliated with any political party.
