Ms. <br /> Naungayan recently retired from the Department of Education after 34 years of <br /> teaching. <br /> Ms. Naungayan holds a M.Ed. in Educational Leadership from the Brigham Young <br /> University in Provo, Utah and a B.A. in English and Education from the University of <br /> Hawai'i at Hilo. Ms. Naungayan was born on Oahu and lived most of her life on the Big <br /> Island. She is also very active in her church community. <br /> Ms. Naungayan states she is not affiliated with any political party.
